It's inspired by the beautiful  Tian-tsui art of China, where the intricate inlaying of dotted kingfisher feathers on metal has been a traditional technique for creating precious jewelry and crafts like fans and screens. In today's world, we're all working together to protect our feathered friends, and this gorgeous technique has evolved to showcase a feather-like texture through thread.
